Gala cord merlot by balta is a hard wearing loop pile carpet that comes in an attractive flecked design made up of different shades of wine, plum and red grape colours, it’s made from 100% Polypropylene making it bleach cleanable and stain resistant. Gala cord merlot is available in 4m and 5m width’s. You can choose between 2 backing types – felt backing or secondary backing. Felt Backed carpets can be fitted directly to the floor with an adheisive or can also be fitted on an underlay with gripper rods, whereas secondary backed carpets are installed with an underlay with gripper rods for added durability and comfort.
This great value for money carpet is very popular with builders, letting agents and anyone looking for a short loop pile carpet which is very hard wearing and looks good at a very affordable price, its suitable for most areas of the home such as living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms, offices, hallways, landings and stairs, it also comes with a 10 year wear warranty and 15 year stain warranty for complete peace of mind.

Carpets come in 2 main backing types so it can be fitted directly to the floor(felt backing) or installed with underlay and gripper rods(felt backing and Actionbac/Secondary backing).
On Carpets that have a choice of backing types you will be able to select a backing type directly on the product page before entering your room sizes.

Carpets, Vinyl flooring and Artificial grass you should add at least 10cm to the length and width of your net measurements to allow for cutting and rooms slightly off square
For tiles and plank flooring you should allow between 10-15% on top of your Net Measurement.
